A Musical Story of Love, Loss and Resilience
Following the sold-out premiere run in November 2023, this 'explosively joyous, sad, energetic and topical mini-musical' (Theatre Cat) is returning to London West End for one night only!

Starring the phenomenal Ukrainian-Israeli singer and actress, Golda Amirova, virtuoso musicians, extraordinary actors and contemporary dancers, it follows the timeless story of a young woman as she flees home to find hope in a foreign land amidst the ravages of war.

The performance creates a rich emotional landscape, fusing Ukrainian, English, Hebrew, Russian, and Yiddish musical themes, highlighted by dynamic dance routines and the unique charm of Odessa humour.

"The music is wild: soulful Ukrainian-Russian-Jewish jazz, where klezmer, wedding-songs, ballad and rock and memories of Weimar meld together, in Golda's extraordinary pure voice and wild effortless energy."

Bird&Carrot Productions presents Contemporary Jewish Jazz - GOLDA Live.

In November, the sold-out show "GOLDA. A Musical Story of Love, Loss, and Resilience" premiered with a roaring success in London.

On January 31st, Golda, accompanied by virtuoso jazz musicians, will present a programme of popular Jewish music.

A finalist of Ukraine's The Voice and an ambassador of Jewish culture worldwide, Golda, is unanimously acclaimed by journalists and music critics for her unique range and timbre.

The stage of the legendary Clapham Grand, where Charlie Chaplin and Oasis have performed, will resonate with famous Yiddish and Hebrew hits in new arrangements (including "Bei Mir Bist Du Shein", "Tumbalalaika", "SHMA Israel", "Hava Nagila", and "Am Israel Chai"), as well as Golda's original compositions.

A striking mosaic of musical genres, from jazz, folklore, soul, and klezmer to RnB, Pop, and Middle Eastern music, will set you on a journey through time and space where the old tunes of Odessa cozy streets intertwine with modern Israel's vibe.

"For me, this concert is an opportunity to share intimate memories and compositions that resonate with a particularly poignant echo today," says Golda.
Golda Amirova
According to music critics and journalists, Golda is acclaimed as possessing the purest and most captivating voice within Ukrainian Jewish culture, coupled with an extraordinary artistic charisma. Her musical style is an original fusion of jazz and Jewish folklore. Golda's music has risen to the top of the charts on Russian and Ukrainian-speaking radio stations in the US. As the creative force behind ground-breaking shows such as Broadway Night and Yiddish Jazz, Golda's performances have garnered resounding success during international tours, captivating audiences in France, Germany, the US, Israel, Kazakhstan, and Moldova.

Born and raised in Odessa, Golda is a finalist of the Ukrainian edition of The Voice. In 2021, during the visit of the President of Israel to Ukraine, Golda performed her cover version of Shma Israel for him. That same year, she released a music video created in collaboration with an Israeli team. Golda's primary mission is the revival and promotion of Jewish musical culture worldwide. And in 2023 London saw the sold-out premiere of her own show 'Golda. A Musical Story of Love, Loss and Resilience' - a heartfelt and immersive musical story that follows the inspiring journey of a Ukrainian artist and war refugee as she fled home to find hope in a foreign land.
